ESDEUX will be the new promoter of the X-Trial World Championship

The FIM has announced the appointment of French organisation ESDEUX (S2) as the new promoter of the FIM X-Trial (Indoor Trial), having signed an initial five-year agreement covering the period from 2022 to 2026 inclusive.

ESDEUX is an entity led by the renowned and experienced indoor organiser Bernard Estripeau, who will take over from the current promoter 2Play.

Estripeau has hosted nearly three hundred and fifty indoor indoor events over nearly four decades. The Frenchman has created courses at some of the biggest indoor events, including Paris Bercy, Vienna, St. Petersburg, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Milan, Bucharest and, for the past three years, Bernard has built the courses of the FIM X-Trial World Championship.

Bernard Estripeau: “First of all, I would like to thank the FIM for the trust they have placed in me with this important appointment. I think it’s fair to say that we share the same vision for the future, opening it up to more nationalities of drivers and also ensuring the inclusion of our younger stars.”

Bernard continued: “It’s time to simplify the format, make it easier to understand and follow and go back to the basics of trial. That said, the plan is to maintain the same level of presentation and entertainment while maintaining the lights, music, and décor of the sections. Finally, it is vital that we strengthen the promotion of this spectacular discipline through all social networks to increase its popularity and reach new audiences.”

Jorge Viegas: “First of all, on behalf of the FIM, I would like to thank 2Play for the work they have done with this series over the past few years. Looking to the future, Bernard Estripeau is already well known and respected within the FIM family, so this appointment seemed a natural progression given his long history and unrivalled experience in terms of organising successful indoor trial events.”
