Berta Abellán wins the Norwegian Women’s X-Trial

On the occasion of the celebration of the Norwegian X-Trial, the event hosted the second round of the newly created FIM Women’s X-Trial Trophy.

Berta Abellán achieved her second victory, after the X-Trial of Barcelona, in a very even race that ended up deciding the clock. The Spaniard and Andrea Sofía Rabino (Beta) had finished the first round without a penalty, but the transalpine was just over a second faster. In the second round, Abellán won on time as both have penalized one point. In the end, Berta Abellán was first with less than a second ahead and the Italian stayed on the podium improving on third place in Barcelona.

Denisa Pechackova (TRRS) took third place on the podium with 6 points and was ahead of local rookie Huldeborg Barkved (TRRS) and Naomi Monnier (Montesa) and Alice Minta (Beta). The last three ended with a total penalty of 11 points and it was the clock that decided the order. Berta Abellán leads the provisional classification of the trophy with 40 points to the 27 of Rabino and Pechackova.

Berta Abellán (1st): “I am very satisfied with this victory that has been complicated because the level of the zones was perhaps a little lower and we have all been very even. I hope to win in Estonia as well and take this first FIM Trophy title.”
